Hoy tengo que hablar de Conchita, una de las compositoras españolas más originales del momento y un soplo de aire fresco en el mercado musical español. Aunque su nombre es “typical Spanish” ella en realidad nació en Finlandia, pero he estado investigando y ni ella sabe finlandés ni sus padres son escandinavos. Simplemente nació allí por casualidad porque sus padres viajaban mucho.


Lo que más me llama la atención de Conchita es la sencillez de sus letras. Sus canciones son como conversaciones, ella va contando una historia de manera sencilla y natural, como si se las estuviera contando a un amigo, y se entienden perfectamente. La verdad es que su música se aleja de esas típicas canciones llenas de metáforas que sólo entiende el compositor y los amigos de su barrio. Today I must talk about Conchita, one of the most original Spanish singer-songwriters at the time and a breath of fresh air in the Spanish music market. Even though her name is typical Spanish she was actually born in Finland, but I´ve been doing some research and neither can she speak finnish nor are her parents Scandinavian. She was born there by chance because her parents used to travel a lot.

What really catches my eye about Conchita is the simplicity of her lyrics.Her songs can be compared to conversations, it's like she´s telling a story in a simple and natural way, like talking to a friend, and her lyrics are easily understood. The truth is that her music is far away from those typical songs packed with metaphores that only the author and his close friends understand. But I´d rather you saw one of her music videos than keep on talking...
